World market leader EPUCRET extends site at Wangen
Wangen, 15/10/2007 – On Monday Dr. Utz-Volker Jackisch, General Manager of EPUCRET Mineralgusstechnik GmbH, had to roll up his sleeves. Together with Michael Rampf, Chief Executive of the RAMPF Group, to which EPUCRET has belonged since 1996, they inaugurated the site for the extension of Factory 2 at a ground-breaking ceremony. The company is investing about 2.5 million Euros in the extension.

The clear commitment to the Wangen site will mean 2,070 square metres more room for EPUCRET. The new North Wing of Factory 2 will accommodate a production hall measuring 1,200 square metres, a warehouse of 720 square metres as well as rest rooms for breaks with 150 square metres. Planning for the new building was taken on by the firm of architects Wezel from Metzingen. The builder Wurster from Grafenberg will be responsible for carrying out the building project.
The planned extension is EPUCRET’s answer in particular to the increasing demand by machine builders for the innovative mineral casting frame material. According to General Manager Jackisch, the new building is also a prerequisite to add on ten new workplaces in production. After completion in May 2008, as well as the current remodelling of Factory I, the future capacities will form the best foundation for further growth by the world market leader. Instead of 9,000 tons of processed mineral casting per year, the company is aiming at 10,000 tons. “We should never rest on our laurels. We owe that much to our customers and staff. In order to continue being successful in the world, we need a solid base and enough capacity at our headquarters in Wangen“, explained Dr. Utz-Volker Jackisch at the inauguration ceremony.

Thanks to highly precise production processes, EPUCRET products are used in various branches of industry – from machine tools to electronic production and medical devices. The mineral casting manufacturer has been a part of the international RAMPF Group since 1996. Starting 2008, EPUCRET will also be represented in China with its own production facility.
