EPUCRET opens grinding center in Bessenbach
EPUCRET Mineralgusstechnik is extending its offered range of services. On July 6, 2010, the mineral casting specialist will be marking the opening of a new grinding center in Bessenbach, Bavaria, with a special celebration. A member of the RAMPF Group based in Wangen near Göppingen, Epucret has invested six million Euro in the project, as well as appointing four new staff members. The new 2400 square meter hall will be used in future to give machine components and frames made of different materials such as mineral casting, hard stone, ceramic, steel or cast iron their final ground finish.

different materials such as mineral casting, hard stone, ceramic, steel or cast iron will be given their final grinding finish in future.

In the new high-tech plant, even giant-sized components and frames will be ground with micron-range precision.
The specialists from EPUCRET will now be able to machine workpieces up to seven meters in length, 2.65 meters in width and with a weight of up to 25 tons in-house. The new building, equipped with the very latest state-of-the-art machinery, will provide fully air conditioned production, assembly and testing rooms (20° +/-1K). The innovative complete service concept encompasses the whole range of important steps from technical and design consultancy through to grinding and subsequent measurement to calibration and assembly. “With the new grinding center, we are offering an all-round service which we can make available to customers and partners at short notice. The convenience of this new facility is further enhanced by its central location, right on the A3 Autobahn”, explains Dr. Utz-Volker Jackisch. The EPUCRET CEO considers the construction of the company’s own grinding center in Bessenbach to be long overdue. “As well as using external partners, we have now created our own grinding capacity – something for which there is a pressing need in the market. In our new high-tech plant, we grind even the most enormous components and frames to an extreme level of micron-range accuracy. Which means we are working to within thousands of a millimeter. These are degrees of accuracy for which there is ever growing market demand in the production of modern machine components,” emphasizes Jackisch.
EPUCRET precision also in hard stone, ceramic, steel and cast iron
By offering a complete range of precision grinding-related services, EPUCRET is addressing ever growing demand for contract machining and assembly of high-precision machine components. The company intends to use its high precision capacity to machine not only its own internally produced machine beds, but its experts will also be giving a final grind and polish to materials such as hard stone, ceramic, steel and cast iron. Wolfgang Goldmann (Technical Director) and René Maschlanka (Project Manager) are contributing their decades of valuable professional experience in the precision grinding of machine components to EPUCRET’s pioneering new project, so creating the ideal conditions to ensure that customers are given a top class, reliable quality service right from day one.
